Seach Engine Optimization An Hour A Day

SEO: An Hour A Day

Looking for a decent book on SEO? We’re happy to recommend Search Engine Optimization – An Hour A Day.

This is intended as a step-by-step guide to all things SEO, but it works well as a reference of the various SEO techniques, as well as an SEO strategy guide.

Here’s the official blurb from the authors:

“Back and bracing as ever, Search Engine Optimization: An Hour a Day, Second Edition offers brisk advice, bite–sized tasks, and smart tools to help you increase visibility for your website on the major search engines. In this new edition of their bestselling how–to guide, SEO consultants Jennifer Grappone and Gradiva Couzin offer surprisingly easy do–it–yourself techniques as well as the very latest SEO strategies for small, very small, and large businesses, as well as for bloggers and web designers.”

If you’re new to SEO and looking to get more from your website, this is a top read.

The book has around 350 pages and is very easy to read – although it’s structured into various activities, it actually makes a great reference book, has a comprehensive glossary, and is packed with examples and screenshots. If you like the idea of the hour-a-day, then the book contains a well thought-out 12 week SEO strategy, which if you’re wired that way, can be a good way to plan how to attack the various SEO work that you may need to do.
